Cognitive distortions and responsible gambling messaging

Last year I took part in a plenary discussion at the New Horizons for Responsible Gambling conference in Vancouver. Luke Clark, Catherine Winstanley, Nick Richards, and I took a look at some classic cognitive distortions and discussed the implications they might have for responsible gambling messaging.

The members of the Centre for Gambling Research elicited examples of these cognitive distortions in undergraduate students, and made short films to demonstrate the distortions in action.

Thanks to the team at New Horizons who filmed the event and made it publicly available.
